Candere by Kalyan Jewellers
Originally an online jewellery retailer started in 2013.
In 2017, Kalyan acquired a majority stake in Candere. Later, in 2024, fully acquired the remaining part.
It is positioned more towards lightweight, lifestyle jewellery, combining online + showroom presence.
Kalyan Silks
Textile retailer specialising in silks, sarees, etc.
Founded also under the group, operates in Kerala and few other Indian states, with some presence overseas (UAE, Oman).
Kalyan Sarees
Focused on traditional handwoven sarees, bridal wear etc.
First showroom opened in Thrissur; operates in Kerala and other parts of South India.
Kalyan Jewellers is aggressively expanding its store count. For example, as of end-March 2025 it had ~351 stores: ~278 under the “Kalyan” brand and ~73 under “Candere”.
Plans to open additional ~160 stores in the fiscal year (2025-26), split between premium Kalyan stores and more affordable/formatted Candere stores.
Emphasis on lighter-weight jewellery and more affordable product lines to tap into changing consumer preferences due to gold price volatility
