A Visual Merchandiser is responsible for how the store looks and how products are displayed to attract customers and increase sales.
Designing and setting up window displays, mannequins, signage, and in-store layouts.
Ensuring product placement (apparel, FMCG, general merchandise) matches the company’s branding and sales strategy.
Working with the Store Manager and Category Managers to highlight promotional products.
Planning seasonal / festive store themes and décor (e.g., Diwali, Independence Day sales).
Monitoring competitor displays and suggesting improvements.
Training sales staff on display upkeep and product presentation.
Coordinating with the Marketing team for visual campaigns.
Ensuring the store always looks organized, attractive, and customer-friendly.
Creativity and a good sense of design & aesthetics.
Knowledge of retail trends, fashion, and consumer psychology.
Basic understanding of store layouts and space planning.
Strong communication and coordination skills (works with store staff, marketing, vendors).
Ability to work under deadlines, especially during sale seasons.
Technical skills in design tools / MS Office / Photoshop (sometimes required at corporate level).
Graduate in Fashion Design / Visual Merchandising / Retail Management (preferred).
For entry-level roles, any graduate with creativity & retail experience can apply.
Prior experience in retail store display / merchandising is a plus.
