A Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for optimizing the end-to-end supply chain of the company — from procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, to distribution across stores. The goal is to ensure products are available at the right place, right time, and cost efficiently.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze inventory levels, stock movement, and demand patterns across stores.
Generate weekly/monthly reports on stock-outs, overstocks, and supply chain efficiency.
Identify trends and suggest corrective measures.
Inventory & Procurement Support:
Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels at warehouses and stores.
Collaborate with procurement to forecast demand and reduce excess inventory.
Logistics & Distribution Planning:
Monitor transportation and warehouse operations for efficiency.
Suggest ways to minimize delivery delays and reduce freight costs.
Process Improvement:
Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and propose solutions.
Support automation and digital initiatives to improve supply chain performance.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work closely with store managers, category managers, warehouse teams, and vendors.
Coordinate with IT for data systems and reporting tools.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to work with data, Excel, and reporting tools.
Technical Tools: Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or similar) and supply chain software.
Problem Solving: Identify supply chain gaps and propose actionable solutions.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication for coordination with multiple teams.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy in inventory analysis, reporting, and forecasting.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Analytics, or related fields.
Additional Advantage: Certification in SCM, Six Sigma, or Data Analytics.
Entry-level: 0–2 years (for Analyst or Junior Analyst role)
Mid-level: 2–5 years for Senior Analyst or Specialist roles
