Establish atomic design principles for reusable components.
Collaborate with front-end engineers to translate Figma components into code libraries (React / Flutter).
Define interaction behaviors, micro-interactions, and motion principles for Nykaa interfaces.
Develop responsive layouts ensuring consistency across desktop, mobile, and app platforms.
Contribute to UI audits to identify inconsistencies and propose design updates.
Partner with Product Managers, Developers, and UX Researchers to ensure the design system meets product and business goals.
Communicate design decisions clearly through documentation, prototypes, and specifications.
Provide guidance to other product designers on using and contributing to the system.
Ensure all components comply with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards.
Conduct usability testing to validate design components for clarity and ease of use.
Optimize the design system for performance and inclusivity.
Maintain detailed documentation within Figma, Confluence, or Notion for design guidelines.
Implement governance processes for component versioning and contribution.
Monitor adoption and gather feedback from product teams to refine components.

Represent the design system in product reviews and leadership meetings.
