Customer & Staff Safety
Ensure the safety of customers, staff, and store property.
Monitor entry/exit points of the store.
Theft & Loss Prevention
Keep an eye on shoplifting, employee theft, or suspicious activity.
Conduct bag checks or random security checks if required.
Surveillance & Monitoring
Monitor CCTV cameras.
Patrol inside and outside the store.
Crowd & Queue Management
Manage crowds during sales, festivals, or peak hours.
Ensure orderly movement of customers.
Emergency Handling
Assist in fire drills, evacuations, or medical emergencies.
Report incidents to store management promptly.
Store Property Protection
Safeguard assets like stock, cash counters, and delivery areas.
Supervise loading/unloading at the back gate.
Alertness & vigilance
Physical fitness & stamina
Basic knowledge of security equipment (CCTV, scanners)
Discipline & punctuality
Good communication skills (for interacting with customers & staff)
Ability to handle conflicts calmly
Minimum: 10th / 12th pass (varies by company & location)
Prior security training or experience is preferred
Sometimes ex-servicemen are hired for this role
Uniform & duty gear provided
