The Picker / Packer is responsible for handling products efficiently to ensure smooth supply chain operations. Key responsibilities include:
Order Picking
Identify and pick items from warehouse shelves based on store orders or online requests.
Ensure accurate quantity and quality of items picked.
Packing & Labeling
Pack products carefully to prevent damage during transit.
Label items correctly with SKU, batch number, or store information.
Inventory Management Support
Assist in stock counting and maintaining proper warehouse organization.
Report stock discrepancies to supervisors.
Maintaining Cleanliness & Safety
Keep the packing and picking area clean and organized.
Follow safety procedures while handling heavy or hazardous items.
Collaboration
Coordinate with warehouse supervisors, delivery staff, and store managers to ensure timely dispatch of goods.
Physical stamina – ability to lift, carry, and move items repeatedly.
Attention to detail – accurate picking and packing is crucial.
Basic numeracy and labeling skills – for counting, recording, and labeling items.
Teamwork & communication skills – work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
