Job Description

  • Usually assigned to a region, city, or cluster of stores.

  • Field-based role with travel to stores, suppliers, or potential partners.


. Job Purpose / Objective

  • Drive business growth by identifying new revenue opportunities, expanding store reach, and increasing sales.

  • Support management in strategic initiatives, market research, and operational improvements.


. Key Responsibilities

  1. Market & Territory Development

    • Identify new business opportunities in retail locations or neighborhoods.

    • Analyze competitor activity and local market trends.

    • Build relationships with local vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

  2. Store & Sales Support

    • Assist stores in meeting sales targets.

    • Help implement promotional campaigns or seasonal sales strategies.

    • Provide feedback on customer preferences and product performance.

  3. Reporting & Analysis

    • Maintain sales reports, market intelligence reports, and competitor analysis.

    • Present findings to Area Managers or Regional Heads.

  4. Collaboration

    • Work closely with marketing, merchandising, and operations teams.

    • Support new store launches or expansions in assigned territory.


. Required Skills

  • Sales & Negotiation Skills – ability to build relationships and influence partners.

  • Communication Skills – verbal and written for internal coordination and vendor interaction.

  • Analytical Skills – basic market research and data interpretation.

  • Self-Motivation & Field Work Capability – can manage territory independently.

  • MS Office / Basic CRM Knowledge – for reporting and tracking.


. Experience & Education

  • Education: Usually Graduate in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or related field.

  • Experience: 0–3 years (freshers may also be considered for entry-level BDE roles).

  • Retail or FMCG experience is an advantage.
