The Assistant Finance Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Office. Primary responsibilities include:
Financial Analysis & Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts to guide financial planning.
Audit & Control: Overseeing internal, external, and regulatory audit processes to ensure financial integrity.
Asset & Liability Reconciliation: Ensuring accurate reconciliation of balance sheets and other financial records.
Cash & Working Capital Control: Managing cash flow and working capital to maintain financial stability.
Education: A 4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting or a related major.
Experience: No prior work experience required.
Team Management: Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocating sound financial/business decision-making; demonstrating honesty/integrity; leading by example.
Audit Oversight: Overseeing internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
Communication: Ensuring regular communication with employees to create awareness of business objectives, communicate expectations, and recognize performance.
Leadership: Celebrating successes by publicly recognizing the contributions of team members and providing excellent leadership.
Policy Enforcement: Ensuring property policies are administered fairly and consistently.
Financial Reporting: Generating and providing accurate and timely results in the form of reports and presentations.
Problem Solving: Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures and financial regulations.
Advisory Role: Advising the Director of Finance on operational and financial issues.
