Job Description

1. Merchandise Planning

  • Develop seasonal and annual merchandise plans for factory outlets.

  • Create OTB (Open-to-Buy) and assortment plans by category, gender, price band, and store cluster.

  • Align product strategies with business goals and inventory targets.

2. Inventory Management

  • Ensure healthy stock levels across all factory outlets.

  • Manage stock aging, slow movers, and inventory liquidation planning.

  • Optimize stock turns and minimize inventory holding cost.

3. Product Allocation & Replenishment

  • Allocate merchandise to stores based on store capacity, sales trends, and customer profile.

  • Plan weekly/monthly replenishments to avoid stock-outs.

  • Transfer stock between stores to improve sell-through.

4. Sales Forecasting & Business Analysis

  • Analyze sales performance by store, category, and product line.

  • Forecast monthly and seasonal sales based on trends and past performance.

  • Identify opportunities to improve sell-through and margin.

5. Markdown & Pricing Strategy

  • Plan discounting cycles and promotional pricing for factory outlets.

  • Implement markdown strategies based on inventory age and demand.

  • Track margin impact and ensure pricing aligns with profitability targets.

6. Store & Category Performance Management

  • Review store KPIs (ASP, sell-through %, stock turn, conversion).

  • Work with store operations to improve display, assortment, and stock health.

  • Develop strategies to boost performance of underperforming stores.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Buying, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and Warehouse teams.

  • Coordinate with logistics for timely stock deliveries.

8. MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare weekly/monthly MIS on sales, inventory, aging, and sell-through.

  • Present business reviews to senior leadership.

  • Maintain planning dashboards and store-wise performance sheets.

9. Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of planners, allocators, and analysts.

  • Train team members on planning tools, data analysis, and merchandising standards.
