Negotiate freight rates with shipping lines, forwarders, and logistics partners.
Minimize demurrage, detention, and warehousing charges.
Analyze landed cost, duty structures, and evaluate cost-saving opportunities.
Coordinate with procurement, production, warehouse, and finance teams for material planning.
Ensure inventory levels are maintained and avoid stockouts due to import delays.
Develop and improve lead time strategies.
Manage relationships with global suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents.
Evaluate vendor performance and address issues proactively.
Maintain service-level agreements and compliance standards.
Maintain import MIS, shipment trackers, and weekly/monthly dashboards.
