Assist customers in selecting and purchasing products in‑store
Achieve sales targets (individual/store) through good customer interactions and suggestive selling
Ensure a pleasant shopping experience and maintain high standards of customer service
Greet customers as they enter the store, understand their needs and guide them to appropriate products.
Demonstrate product features, answer customer queries, provide product information.
Suggest additional products (upselling / cross‑selling) to increase average order value.
Process transactions (billing), handle cash/card payments, manage returns / exchanges.
Maintain stock / inventory: restocking shelves, managing back‑room storage, ensuring items are properly labelled.
Maintain visual merchandising standards: ensure displays are attractive, shelf layouts are clean, promotional signage etc.
Keep store clean, organized, ensure safety & security norms are followed.
Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to overall store targets.
Educational qualification: often 10+2 / 12th standard pass; for higher levels sometimes Graduation.
Experience: Freshers welcome in many sales associate roles; for some positions 1‑3 years in retail, or product‑specific background (electronics, FMCG etc.) is preferred.
Good communication skills (local language + often English) to interact with customers.
Customer‑oriented mindset, proactive, energetic.
Basic computer / POS system handling skills.
Flexibility to work in shifts / weekends / holidays.
