Job Description

  • Branch Operations Management

    • Oversee daily operational activities of the branch (cash management, account opening, clearing, remittances, deposits, loans processing, etc.).

    • Authorize transactions above frontline staff limits.

  • Compliance & Risk Control

    • Ensure adherence to KYC, AML, and RBI regulatory guidelines.

    • Maintain audit readiness; ensure all internal policies and risk management procedures are followed.

    • Identify and escalate operational risks, and remediate errors promptly.

  • Customer Service & Experience

    • Supervise and support customer service desks to deliver fast, accurate, and high-quality service.

    • Handle escalated customer issues and ensure fair outcomes.

    • Strive for zero service defects in branch transactions.

  • Team Leadership & Staff Management

    • Supervise, guide, and coach branch operations staff (tellers, service officers, cash officers).

    • Ensure adequate training and development of employees.

    • Manage staff productivity and adherence to service standards.

  • Process Improvement & Efficiency

    • Review and streamline branch operations processes for greater efficiency.

    • Leverage digital tools and automation for error reduction and cost control.

  • Reporting & MIS

    • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and dashboards (MIS).

    • Provide insights on operational performance to branch management.

  • Collaboration & Support

    • Work closely with sales, compliance, audit, and corporate functions to ensure smooth customer onboarding and service.

    • Support branch in achieving financial and service goals by ensuring operational excellence.
